All About Your Photographer, Jess!
When I was a little girl, I spent so much time holding black-and-white photos taken by my Grandpa, who was an amateur photographer and true family man.
I remember combing through the many, many pages, gazing at photos of my parents in their early marriage days, and delighting in how madly in love they looked!
As I flipped between albums and decades, I compared my baby photos with my mom’s, visually tracing the lines of her face and mine, wondering if her childhood was like my own.
The overwhelming connection of past, present, and family. Even then, I understood the power of photography in holding and bridging time, and how it stirs our natural curiosity to keep memories and stories alive.

My Most Missed Memory
My daughter was born in 2020. Today, she’s a happy and healthy toddler who loves to run from my camera. I have many photos of her, but I wish I’d been able to invite a photographer into our home to take those intimate, once-in-a-lifetime photos of me holding her as a newborn. I know many moms who had babies during the pandemic and feel the same!
My Treasured Captured Memory
Believe it or not, my husband and I eloped in Las Vegas! No, we weren’t married by Elvis! But we were surrounded by the people we love most. Photography was really important to us, and we’re delighted to have photos that capture all those intimate details of our celebration.
Also, this is why legacy photography matters so much to me. After my Grandpa’s passing a few years ago, the black-and-white photos that I found so thrilling as a child became even more precious. I feel so lucky to have the photos he snapped, and every photo I have of him, too!
